Trade
Trade pieces demand precision and creativity. Your audience isn't just interested. They're experts! And that's exactly what I enjoy most about writing for trade magazines--the depth of knowledge required. It's very rewarding.
Which Industries?
Most of the trade contributions I make are in the energy industry. After all, I do live in Houston. It's the energy capital of the world. On average, I write two or three feature-length pieces per month for energy industry publications.
Not Just Energy
I've written for a variety of trade publications in industries as diverse as banking, nanotechnology and the martial arts. I don't snorkel into a subject–I dive. Down to high-pressure depths. That's where the interesting issues live. And the sharks, for that matter.
