What kind of writer are you?
I'm a generalist.
How long have you been a writer?
All of my life. But I've only been doing it for money six
or so years.
What are your rates?
My rates vary depending on the nature of the work, but typically
stay at around $100 an hour.
Do you have a day job?
Yes, I am a freelance writer. This is my day job.
I'm a marketing and communications manager. Do you
have the technical and people skills to hit the ground running
and support my project?
The days of the dark, misanthropic writer--outcast tortured
soul--are over. Today's writer gets the job done with collaboration,
investigation and teamwork. I can show up, work and play well
with others and drive the project home.
Have you ever written a book?
I’ve authored or co-authored around a half-dozen books.
My first was Houston Then and Now, published in 2003
by Chrysalis Books of London, available in local Houston Borders
and Barnes&Noble Booksellers. I am currently involved
in a number of other book projects including Austin Then
& Now, Hiking Houston and the Slacker’s
Guide to Texas Universities.
Do you have references?
Oh, yeah. Contact me and I'll pass them on.
