I bill by the hour but can bid lump-sum amounts if it’s easier for you. My rate varies depending on the nature of the work, but is typically $100 an hour.

Editorial
I assume the standard rates and payments set by the publication. If there is no set payment for contributors as set forth in your writer's guidelines, my rates are negotiable. I'm flexible when starting a new relationship with a publication, but expect appropriate compensation.

Free?
In rare cases, I perform projects gratis. These are exclusively high-profile humanitarian, political or local projects falling into alignment with my own personal or professional interests. I consider it a part of my civic duty to contribute a certain amount of my otherwise billable time to a limited number of these endeavors.

Organizations for the arts, not-for-profit groups and government agencies are encouraged to contact me to see if I have the time or interest. If I don't, chances are I can find someone who does.
